Art, for me, as a practice is a source of strength and happiness. My artwork speaks of different aspects of womanhood – it is something that goes out into my artwork and comes back to me, and others, in a circle. This encompasses personal experiences to do with interpersonal relations, travel, and glamour. My sense of self and how I deal with what I see, hear, and read, and what has already been in history, all come together in composition after composition, all the while addressing my own thoughts on several important matters- whether it be in culture, in current events, or in the breadth of my own perspective. I am dancing in life between art and fashion, and my dreams. I am essentially a creator of what I would like to see in the world. I enjoy making art that will be regarded as a visit through my own journeys, and that will not be regarded by others in a muted or subdued stance.
Both painting and photography are essential elements in my process for each individual digital work. I am a mixed-media artist who creatively manipulates photographs and plays with colorations and textures all to be able to make my own statement. My work shows emotion, and they carry with them the appeal of a deep connection, along with excitement and intrigue with a readership quality to please the eye. My art is a constant movement throughout my life as a means to communicate my own poetic verses that I have for my viewers.
The endeavor of creating alone roots from my ability to convey my visions into picturesque pieces that whisper to me myself, and to my audience. My willingness to explore is constant, and I feel as if I am constantly on the go with it. I thoroughly enjoy playing with a myriad of art mediums, including paint, markers, and ink, in order to bring to junction a sense of harmony and depth from various elements put together in each piece. I accidentally enjoy to create an eclectic vibe and a meaningful message for the viewer, when really I am just making marks with the brush using my hand.
